Wedding Day Prep Tips for Brides

October 23, 2018 | Posted in Trends, Uncategorized, Weddings

We’ve seen our fair share of nervous brides the morning of their wedding. And rightfully so. The day you’ve been planning for months has finally arrived. There are people hustling and bustling about, you’re on a tight deadline, and your emotions are all over the place. The day of your wedding, although exciting, can be really stressful – if you let it. We’ve come up with a few bridal tips to calm your nerves, help you relax, and be present in the moment.

Start Your Day Early
It may be hard but it’s important that you get to bed early so that you can have an early start. When you’re pressed for time and emotional, the last thing you need is to add more stress by running around at the last minute. Try to start your day with a relaxing breakfast and your normal morning routine (perhaps a quick workout?) hours before your hair and makeup crew arrives. Make sure to schedule your hair and makeup artists or appointments early in the day so you and your bridesmaids have ample time to dress before you need to hit the road.

Eat a Good Breakfast
You’d be surprised how many brides actually forget to eat on their wedding day. Your mind is racing and your nerves are all over the place, but failing to eat will only make matters worse. You don’t have to eat a big meal, but make sure that you’ve had a nourishing breakfast that will boost your energy and your spirits. Don’t forget to plan snacks and lunch along the way. Call in an order of sandwiches for delivery or room service so you’re not going on an empty stomach until cocktail hour.

Pamper Yourself
Some wedding venues have hotel accommodations for the bride, groom, bridal party, and wedding guests can take advantage of. If you’re fortunate enough to have booked one of those venues, you should take a bit of extra time to pamper yourself. Have a mimosa, take a nice bath, and even get a massage the night before so you are relaxed and rested for your big day.

Lay Your Things Out
Don’t get stressed out by a missing article of clothing or accessory. Lay your things out in your room in advance. Hang your dress and place your shoes and accessories next to it so everything is easy to find when you need to get dressed. Make sure to take inventory the night before.

Play a Little Music
Music is very therapeutic and can be a great way for nervous brides to relax on the day of their wedding. Play some of your favorite tunes in the background while you’re getting ready.

Rely on Your Bridal Team
If there’s something going wrong at the wedding, don’t stress yourself. Ask your bridal support team for help. Your wedding planner, mother, and bridesmaids can be very helpful with getting things resolved.

These are just a few tips to help you have a relaxed day the morning of your wedding. It can be easy to stress, but just take a few deep breaths and use the tips above. A last bit of advice, don’t sweat the small stuff. The most important thing is that both of you are happy, healthy, and ready to say “I do.”
